At Comfort Insurance we are committed to responsible environmental business practices and protecting the planet. Throughout our business, we’re always making changes to how we operate to lessen our impact on the environment and setting goals for a greener future!
Working alongside our key partner Aviva and mirroring their ambitions and targets, we aspire to become a net zero company by 2040 and have a net zero operation supply by 2030.

Our goal is to shape and positively influence the perspective of our supply chain and the larger community on significant environmental issues like climate change

Our sustainability ambitions
- Obtain 75% self-sufficient energy generation by means of solar, battery and wind
- Become a carbon-neutral company by 2030
- Have a net zero operation supply by 2030
- Become a net-zero company by 2040
Sustainable changes we’ve implemented:
- All lighting infrastructure changed to LED with moving sensors
- Reducing our paper output and postage by using means of electronic communications and reverting to double-sided black-and-white printing
- Reducing the number of heating/aircon units in the building
- Replaced old heating/aircon units with more energy-efficient heating/cooling systems
- All key infrastructure has been moved to cloud-based hosted solutions
- All desktops replaced with more energy-efficient laptops
- Renewing furniture or equipment rather than buying new, and recycling equipment that can no longer be used
- Encouraged local workers to use public transport, walk to work, or car share to reduce emissions
- Shut down any unused areas of the building
- All computer policies include turning off electronic devices when leaving for the day
